Daughter in college is scared walking around the dark campus - so since she can't "carry" we are trying to get her all the 'other' EDC items that she does feel comfortable with. This will work for what she needs. I just hope she never needs to try to use it. Seems solid and definitely seems like you could hit with it if you needed too. We got a colorful one... for in case she drops it with her keys - its easy to spot on the ground. Thanks for making these. Sad that we need things like this....

The Monkey Fist was exactly as advertised. It crushed a cardboard box when I hit it. I think it would be even better with a larger steel ball, instead of one inch...perhaps 1.5 inches, or 2 inches, although perhaps a 2 inch ball might be too much. I am keeping it in the pocket in the driver's door of my car...just in case.

The key chain looks good, I have started using it and it feels good with a bit of security with the knuckle ball. Tried to pass through air port security with my first one and was stopped
